Extra Security Login - Browser Cookie Impact
A modification was made to the Extra Security Login cookies used by Internet Banking. This modification will protect you against certain types of attacks that attempt to steal your browsing cookies. While this enhancement will improve the security of eBranch, as a side effect this enhancement may prevent the ability for eBranch to store a backup Extra Security Login cookie in Adobe Flash. If no backup cookie is stored in Adobe Flash, then the only cookie that can be used to mark a computer as private is the cookie stored by your internet browser. When you or your browser deletes this cookie, you are effectively making the computer public, and will be required to enter your username, password and additional verification again on the next login.
Remove Option to Delete Cookies On Browser Close
If you are prompted for the Extra Security Login on each sign in it is likely that your browser has a setting that is deleting your cookies when the browser is closed. If you adjust your browser settings to avoid deleting the cookies stored within your browser when the browser is closed, you should not be prompted to re-enter your additional verification on your next login.
