Which way up do I install your multi fuel chimney liner ?
Our multi fuel chimney liner has small arrows printed on the seams of the outer skin. These arrows should be pointing up the chimney when the liner is installed.
It will be helpful if we explain the reason that the direction is important. A multi fuel chimney liner has an inner and an outer skin. The inner skin has a smooth bore. However, if you run your hand on the inner, you'll notice that it's not completely smooth, and there are small ridges.
The idea is that any condensation that forms on the inner of the liner, should stay inside the liner as it runs down. Install it the wrong way up and the moisture running down will be trying to escape between the joints on the inner and not run over them.
