FAQ

Yes! There are three ways to copy your activity in VolunteerSpot.
  • Quick Copy - Duplicate your entire activity
  • Copy a Day within the same activity
  • Copy a Day to a new activity

  1. Quick Copy: Duplicate your activity

    ClickToCopy2

The yellow (+) button located within the MyActivities tab lets you quickly copy any past or current activity's schedule. Examples include planning multiple carnival booths and copying tournament volunteer needs from last year to this year.

    IMPORTANT NOTES:

    • All activity plan details and dates will be duplicated.
    • Individual assignments and group rosters will NOT be duplicated.
    • You will be the Primary organizer of the new activity.
    • IMPORTANT: Did your activity occur in the past? Once duplicated, please open the NEW activity and COPY dates forward to this year's current dates. Then DELETE the days in the past. This step is important for saving computer memory and keeps your activity running quickly on VolunteerSpot.

  2. To copy a day's plan to a new day (or days) within the same Activity:
    • Open your activity and click on the date you wish to copy from.
    • Click 'Copy' in the pull-down menu.
    • Choose the date(s) to copy to.
    • Click 'Copy'.

    CopyDay

All ToDo and ToBring items (jobs, tasks, shifts, things to bring) will be copied to the new date(s). You will be given the option to also copy volunteer assignments.
IMPORTANT: When you copy a day, it copies the entire day and replaces anything already on the new day being copied to.
  3.

  4. To copy a day's plan to a new day (or days) on a different Activity:
    • Create a new Activity and click 'Finish Later' while on the Calendar screen.
    • Go to the 'My Activities' tab and open the Activity to copy from.
    • Click on the date you wish to copy from and click 'Copy' in the pull-down menu.
    • Choose the date(s) to copy to.
    • Choose the Activity to copy to in the pull-down menu at the bottom and click 'Copy'.
    • CopyNewActivity

All ToDo and ToBring items (jobs, tasks, shifts, things to bring) will be copied to the new date(s). IMPORTANT: When you copy a day, it copies the entire day and replaces anything already on the new day being copied to.

You can always edit and make changes to the ToDo/Bring items after you copy.
